Not Independent, but In-Him-Dependent

The Declaration of Independence is a document that defines our identity as Americans, having thrown off the chains of tyranny as subjects of a harsh, evil king, and we are part of a world that espouses personal independence, however, as Christians, our identity is wrapped up in total dependence of God. It is the Lord who gives us all good things... In Him we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17:28).
Is there any need that we have that our heavenly Father doesn't supply for ?
He is our Refuge and our Fortress (Ps.91:2), our Healer (Ex.15:26b), our Provider (Gen.22:14), Our Banner (Jehovah Nissi Ex.17:15, His Banner over us is love, Song of Solomon 2:4), Jehovah Tzeva'ot( loosely translated into "Lord of Hosts"- real meaning- COMMANDER IN CHIEF, OVER ALL ARMIES) the Lord Our Peace (Jehovah Shalom, Judges 6:24), Adonai Tzidkenu (Righteous God)and He is always there,(Jehovah Shammah, Ez.48:35). In Song of Solomon, the scriptures read , I am be Beloved's and my Beloved is mine, (Song of Solomon 6:3). We can trust Him and have total dependence in Him because when God proclaims something, when He makes a promise, He keeps it!
"God is not a man that He should lie" (Numbers 23:19)
So today - everyday- cast all your cares on Him, for He is the one who cares for you!
