"As you come to him, the living Stone–rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him– you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
1 Peter 2:4, 5
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

"Did you learn to love? That’s what You will ask of me
Did you learn to love? Not about my ministry
Did you learn to love? Not about my money
Did you learn to love? Did you learn to love? "
- lyrics from Measure of A Man

What ties these three phrases together? The Word of God describes us as "living stones being built up into a spiritual house", but what holds the stones together? It is love that is the mortar, and without it, nothing lasts or means anything. No ministry, no church, no teaching, no gift, no endeavor, no matter how noble your heart, means anything in the grand scope of things...if you haven't learned to love, and put it into action ( a picture is worth 1,000 words). What does love look like then? The Bible tells us that " God is love", The Father , Son, and Holy Spirit are the embodiment of love, and we are called and enabled to imitate Jesus. Jesus said : "Love the Lord your God with all your heart soul mind and strength", and "love your neighbor as yourself". Brothers and sisters, love one another, shepherds, love others before yourself, visit the sick, care for the single moms, widows, orphans , mentor and encourage somebody...
Jesus said "I am the Alpha and the Omega"-let us remember that our existence and identity as children of God and co-heirs with Jesus, begins and ends with love
