The Power of Praise

Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Psalm 150:1-6

Praise the Lord. It is something that we are told to do, suggested we do, encouraged to do. It is easy to praise Him, sort of a "gimme a high-five" when thing are going awesome, when health is robust, when love is in the air, when bank accounts and investment portfolios are robust. But when we are being pruned, when navigating life's stormy waters it is difficult to praise Him, because we can forget the reason that the Lord God/the Uncreated Creator of the Universe/ King deserves praise is not because of what He does for us, but because of who He is.
He is always worthy of all our praise, and when we remember this, and we unleash our praises we move through a progressive Supernatural dynamic, especially in our own weakness, that Scripture describes:

Praise the Lord Ps.150:6
The Lord inhabits the praises of His people  Ps.22:3
In His presence is fullness of joy Ps.16:11
The joy of the Lord is our strength Ne.8:10

Praise brings us into His presence, where fullness of joy is found,
And fullness of joy is our strength!

Let everything...and everyone ...that has breath praise the Lord!
