Joy in the Midst

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4

Trials in life come at us for many reasons, but these testings produce a strengthened, mature, and more purified faith.
Consider the process of forging steel: Iron ore, the raw material, impure and brittle, is crushed and thrown into a blazing furnace, burning off the dross and other impurities, after which the material is taken out, heated again, and beaten & hammered, producing the strongest steel in existence!
So as everything that can be shaken continues to be shaken, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Rejoice, take heart, He will never leave us or forsake us, perseverance is developing as we run this Race, seek His Face.
