Not For Spectators

"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."
John 14:12

"By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. "
Matthew 7:16, 19, 20

In asking about one's faith, have you ever heard someone ask, " What religion do you observe?"
Interesting choice of words, but consider what following Jesus is all about and let's make something crystal clear: CHRISTIANITY IS NOT FOR SPECTATORS OR "OBSERVATION", AND BEING A DISCIPLE WAS NEVER INTENDED TO BE PASSIVE, AND IS NOT MEANT TO BE "PERSONAL AND PRIVATE".
Jesus didn't say, "By their observations...", He said "by their fruits".
A picture is worth a thousand words, and we are being watched by others.
BY OUR FRUIT THEY (unbelievers) WILL KNOW US.
Christian living is all about participation. Jesus beckons us to follow Him, to act like Him. To be the salt and the light. To draw and provoke the walking dead (all who have not confessed Jesus, are not born again) and wounded to the Light, that is meant to shine from us and through us.
Jesus empowers us through His example and the Holy Spirit. The Bible is full of passages..."and he was filled with the Spirit"...and something amazing always happened, whether a prophetic declaration being made, or a man on foot outrunning a chariot. Each of us is in ministry, our lives-attitudes, demeanor, lifestyle, actions, are being noticed by those around us.
BY OUR FRUIT THEY WILL KNOW US.
