Preeminence 234

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
Revelation 22:13

"...that in all things He would have preeminence."
Col.1:18

Recently I read an article by Stephen Venable from IHOP-KC that ignited something extraordinary in my spirit regarding beholding Jesus, or more aptly put, how we should behold Jesus.
Early this morning the Holy Spirit repeated in my Spirit, deep calling into really, really, deep, the word preeminent along with the scripture of Rev. 22:13.
The concept, or rather, the realization, of the greatness of the person and identity of Jesus, and how it affects our lives: actions, thoughts, attitudes, everything.
Jesus said that He is the beginning and the end, first and last...this applies not only to chronology/time, and sequences, but truly in everything. As we hunger and thirst, our fullness, satisfaction, contentment, and fulfillment are found in Him alone. I have found, though, if we are too casual, too familiar, as perhaps the Children of Israel who witnessed so many miracles in the desert may have become, Jesus may be trivialized or taken for granted.
Let us never forget for a moment who Jesus is, what He accomplished for our benefit, both in this life and the life to come, and let us behold Him, in all of His glory and magnificence, all the time, keeping Him as our one and only magnificent obsession.
He is more than worthy!
