Immoveable Unshakeable

25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”[e] 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”
Hebrews 12:25-28

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10

Those who trust in the lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
Psalm 125:1

I have blogged about these things before, but I feel led to again...
There are a lot of frightened and confused people out there. We talked to a relative recently, who knows someone who confided in her that she and many friends are really frightened, as the Middle East really starts to churn, Islam threatens , earthquakes shake countries literally apart, the governments and systems we have trusted in become weakened and many fear inevitable collapses. Now these people are not Christians, they know not the Lord or His Word-yet.
Beloved, I haven't done a word study on how many times shaking appears in scripture, but it is MANY. It's there because we have a bad habit of taking our eyes off the Uncreated Creator, the One who is immoveable, steady, controls everything, and loves ...US. Family, it is actually a sin to worry! It means that we don't trust Him, that we think His Arm is too short, that He is not mighty enough. Guess what? All lies from the pit of hell, from an adversary who wants to plant seeds of doubt, just as when Peter was strolling on the water - until He entertained those thoughts that came from the accuser, and went down.
The Lord, our Father/Master/Bridegroom/Redeemer, is mighty to save. He is never early or late, He is always right on time. We only see dimly now, but soon we will know His perfect plans and how He worked everything for good, always, even in times that seemed dark and difficult.
