No Storm He Can't Calm 266

"That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.”  Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him.  A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.  Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” "
Mark 4:35-41

The disciples were among the very first to follow Jesus, but prior to this they had not yet believed or grasped fully that He had power and dominion over everything! Most of these men were fisherman, accustomed to storms, but the severity of this one had them really frightened! Jesus is more than able to quell every storm... There is no unrest, no disturbance, no upheaval, no uproar in our own lives, that The King of Kings cannot overcome.
He is the Prince of Peace!
The Lord asks the questions;" Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?".
Beloved, He is the anchor that will hold us, even as everything else crumbles, and we can trust Him! We must trust Him- "without faith it is impossible to please God", and "because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."
James 1:6
Jesus brings peace in the midst of every storm- weather borne, financial, emotional, health/sickness, and all others. As the storms of life pop up cling to Jesus; there is no other name under Heaven by which we can be saved...and no other name by which we need to!
