Patching Gaping Holes

I had Nehemiah and Jesus on my mind all night...as I slept, awakened, slept, dreamed, I could see Nehemiah and his brethren working shoulder to shoulder, tools in one hand, sword in the other, and then fading to Yeshua, both rending the veil and simultaneously "making the two one". Ephesians 2:15
Nehemiah, with the King's permission and authority, came to repair Jerusalem, city of his ancestors, that had been assailed and destroyed, burnt by fire and walls broken down with huge gaps in them, with no protection from her enemies. The destruction was a result of God's chosen people turning their backs on Him, taking up idols and going astray. He was a forerunner.
Jesus with the King's authority and power, came to repair and fill the gaping holes in our hearts and lives, remove the wreckage, restore our sin scorched consciences, renew everything that was ruined. We are called and equipped to work alongside Him- with a sword in one hand(the Word), his gifts in the other.
Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem in just 52 amazing days, with the Lord's help and guidance, even as numerous adversaries, accused, lied, and tried to attack, and Jesus does the same, only supremely better, even as the accuser tries to lie and use every trick to keep us from finishing the work. He who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it!
