11 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. 12 It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” 14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.
Deuteronomy 30:11-14
Every time the children of Israel faced trials they would inevitably become discouraged and either shrink back or want to shrink back. I certainly understand that, not because I am a son of Israel, but because I'm human. Setbacks, hardship, "swimming against the tide", the seemingly daily struggles of life and the demands put upon us can just grind us down.
God commands us to love, obey, and follow Him with all our heart, mind, strength, soul. It is not too hard, and we don't have to go on a transcontinental "vision-quest" to find "it". God have given us the Word and the keys to the revelation of the knowledge of Him in personal and powerful ways. His yoke is easy, His burden is light. The Word is very near to us, it's in our mouths and He has written it on the tablets of our hearts. Our Abba is near to us, and is always a very present help in difficult and troublesome times. Cast your cares on Him today-and every day.
