Reasons to Praise

Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Psalm 150:1-6

You, Lord, are enthroned on the praises of your People...
Psalm 22:2

Praise the Lord! Usually this phrase follows a good report on what God has done in a situation, but praise is not just something that is due to our great King when He performs as we expect Him to. We have breath in us, so as v.6 reads, we are to praise Him always and continually, with or without a good report, or any report at all for that matter!
He is worthy of our continual praise, and as we step out in continual praise our great Father inclines His ear to us, the sounds of our praise are as incense to Him, and He is pleased. He doesn't need our "pat on the back", no, He loves us furiously and extravagantly and wants to hear our voices lifted up in praise ... He has created us to worship Him-in Spirit and truth, so don't wait for more reasons today!
Praise the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me...
Praise the Lord!
