House Cleaning

1 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
4 As you come to Him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house[a] to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Our bodies are temples, and our hearts are always full, but with what? Before Jesus comes, these temples and hearts are dark places. Jesus is the Light that makes the darkness flee, and when surrender and a spiritual housecleaning comes, the junk gets washed away. Abundant life is not about abundant stuff that just becomes fodder for future garage sales.
Open the door of your heart, surrender and let Jesus fill you as only He can- and will.
He will take care of the rest.
