Dealing with God's Enemies

3 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. 4 At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent. 5 Finally these men said, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”
Daniel 6:3-5

“All who rage against you
   will surely be ashamed and disgraced;
those who oppose you
   will be as nothing and perish.
12 Though you search for your enemies,
   you will not find them.
Those who wage war against you
   will be as nothing at all.
13 For I am the LORD your God
   who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
   I will help you.
Isaiah 41:11-13

 1 When word came to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab and the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall and not a gap was left in it—though up to that time I had not set the doors in the gates— 2 Sanballat and Geshem sent me this message: “Come, let us meet together in one of the villages[a] on the plain of Ono.”
   But they were scheming to harm me; 3 so I sent messengers to them with this reply: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?” 4 Four times they sent me the same message, and each time I gave them the same answer.
Nehemiah 6:1-4

 9 They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.”
But I prayed, “Now strengthen my hands.”
Nehemiah 6:9

Enemies of God have always been around! Those who spread lies, would suppress the truths of God that they know, deep down inside is real, just as they know God is real, living, and active. Just as in the days of Noah, Daniel, Nehemiah, Bonnhoeffer, and now our times, as men and women like Geert Wilders, Glenn Beck, Governor Rick Perry of Texas, Mike Huckabee, Michelle Bachman and others, who are not ashamed to say Jesus is their Savior, that they belong to Him, and that they are led by God's principles. God's enemies always operate on mob principles, always spreading lies and trying to discourage and defame the believers, stirring up the masses who feed off each other...
When Nehemiah stood in the gap, stuck to God's plan, the wall was rebuilt in just 52 days, the enemies became frightened and their evil plans dissolved.
Beloved, until the Return of the Lord Jesus, when Satan is dispatched, there will be evil. Triumph comes when our eyes stay fixed on Him, and listen to the voice of the Shepherd who says, "Take heart for I have overcome the world."
