Not Yet Home 306

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Hebrew 12:1

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
Romans 8:35, 37

"I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name."
Revelation 3:11-12

But he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Matthew 24:13

Life and the business of living is a roller coaster, there are good times with smooth roads, and then there are hard times, where we are faced with difficulties and mine fields. The great things tend to stoke and buoy us up, and we are "happy", but not maturing much, while tragedies and life's difficulties are hard but the times of greatest growth. But wherever we are right now, we need to remind ourselves that we are still on this journey we call "life", we must not stop and throw in the towel...we are not home yet, and we must keep moving, keep running, hold on. Hardships will come, sooner or later rainy days happen, but as we fix our eyes on Jesus, keep praying, believing, practice patience and perseverance, we will run -and win this race. There is no where else to go, and no one else to go there with, other than Jesus, so stand in there, stand firm.
Be encouraged!
