Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire."
Hebrews 12:28-29
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[f] And by him we cry, “Abba,[g] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Romans 8:14-17
Did you know that you are an heir to unspeakable riches and the greatest kingdom? A kingdom that will never fall into disrepair or corruption, unshakeable, beyond our wildest imagination, with colors beyond description, where the light is the illumination from the Lord Himself? Do we realize how close we really are to this inheritance, as our lives here are just a vapor, the blink of an eye, and we pass from this life to the next.
As born again believers we have passed from death to life, both in this present and relatively short one, and the eternity to come. Everyone is bound for eternity...it's just the matter of where one chooses to spend it. Jesus stands at the door and knocks, if we make the choice to respond He comes in and dines with us. Why would anyone deny Jesus, pass on eternal abundant life, and choose eternal torment?
As co-heirs with Jesus it is incumbent on us to let others know that this inheritance is also for them, to deliver "the good news". In worldly estates, the more heirs there are, the smaller the inheritance, but our heavenly inheritance is not reduced, we all will fully enjoy the treasures that have been laid up for us.
Share the great news with someone today.
