Yesterday I received a word from a brother: Hebrews 1, and as I read it and reread it and let it soak in, an image of our solar system came up in my spirit. The planets of course, are us and everything else created, and the Lord is our Sun. Such a simple observation, and yet so powerful: such a powerful gravitational pull that it anchors everything else, everything revolves around Him, His radiance is the source of all illumination, energy, nourishment, our very existence. This star we call our sun, is just another created thing from a Creator/Father/God who is so awesome, so powerful, that our sun, so huge and intense to us is as a pin point on the surface of other stars, the Lord God has also made. Everything is under His control, with His very word He creates and destroys, and this is a hard thing for many to comprehend, that His ways and thoughts are so much bigger, so beyond us, that even consideration of grasping the concept of who His nature is beyond them. The kicker though: We are always on His mind…while sustaining all things by His word, He provided a way for us, purification for our sins- salvation attained. Operating a universe, nor anything else, is not as important as providing a way for us to be with Him, He keeps His promises, every word true … He loves us so powerfully.
