Taming the Beasts 247

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial.
“I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.
1 Corinthians 10:23

"If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
Genesis 4:7

We live in a post-modern culture that lies to us.
Slavery and bondage is disguised as liberty;
this world would have us believe the "new" norms and mores
have "delivered" us from ancient and "religious" systems,
that we are "free" to do as we please.
There are spiritual principles and forces, though,
that are in place that supersede cultural forces,
activated by choices we make on our own volition.
God will let us make these choices,
all the way to the pit of hell, if that's what we choose!
We have been given the tools, the weapons,
to tame and defeat the beasts that crouch in the doorways of the journeys of our lives,
and we have to choose wisely.
Choose the way of life as prescribed in our "Owner's Manual",
listen to the voice of Holy Spirit, the Bridegroom,
not the clamor of a bankrupt and empty world system.
Beloved, listen closely, spend more time in your Bible than you do on Facebook or twitter, etc.,
trash every idols, keep God as Lord of your life, keep Him #1...
guard your heart, your mind, your eyes and ears, tame those beasts!
You are more than an overcomer-in Jesus.
