“To whom will you compare me?
Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
27 Why do you complain, Jacob?
Why do you say, Israel,
“My way is hidden from the LORD;
my cause is disregarded by my God”?
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:25-31
Sometimes life can wear us down. In the world that we live in, our schedules can be so busy, and so draining physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Some days I'm frankly so exhausted at the day's end that it's all I can do to just tumble onto my bed, mornings can come too soon, as I crawl out of bed. I am weak, with serious limitations.
I am very often drawn to this passage, my hope is my Father alone, and the scripture says that GOD GIVES HOPE TO THE WEARY, and as I hope in Him, casting all my cares on Him, I am strengthened.
When you are weary, and feeling a bit thread-bare, when your "tank" is on empty, all you have to do is ask, seek, and knock-the renewal of our strength is promised! Supernatural and seemingly from out of nowhere, it will come, like the water that came when at the Lord's command, when Moses struck a stone in the middle of the desert-abundant, inexplicable, refreshing, more than enough.
Be recharged and strengthened.
